‘21 Weeks Later’ won the best short film at the Busan Festival

The short film ‘21 Weeks Later’ directed by Nasrin Mohammadpour won the award for best Asian short film at the 28th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.

The short film also written, and produced by Nasrin Mohammadpour, which made its world premiere at the 28th Busan International Film Festival, won the main prize in the Wide Angle Competition section, known as the "Sonje Award", which is one of the most prestigious awards of the Busan Grand Festival.

 

Iran suggests joint screening and film weeks in Indonesia

The secretary of the 35th Children and Youth Film Festival, in a meeting with the Indonesian ambassador to Iran, suggested the screening of Iranian films and the holding of an Iranian film week in Indonesia.

Majid Zeinolabedin said in a joint conference with the Indonesian ambassador: “Cinema is a platform for cultural exchanges and public diplomacy, and filmmakers can speak to all people of the world in the language of images.”

‘Tales of Qods’ doc aired on Ofogh TV

The documentary ‘Tales of Qods,’ which tells the story of the differences between Zionist thought and Judaism and the influence of Zionist media in the world, was aired on the Ofogh TV channel.

Tehran International Short Film Festival has selected 58 short films for the international competition section of the 2023 edition of the event.

The selecting committee of the festival has selected 58 films out of 7216 received works from 131 countries.

The film will be screened as the only representative of Iranian short cinema at the 32nd St. Louis International Film Festival in the United States in its world premiere.

This festival is considered one of the most prestigious and largest film festivals in the United States, which is approved by the Academy Awards.

The winner of the festival's prize is nominated to the Academy Awards.

 

‘Squad of Girls’ wins award at Bengaluru int’l filmfest

The film ‘Squad of Girls’ has been awarded the "Power and Resistance" trophy and the honorary shawl of the Bengaluru International Film Festival.

The film directed by Manir Gheidi and produced by Mohammad Mansouri, represented Iran at the 6th edition of the Bengaluru Creativity and Innovation Festival in India.
